Washington State Chapter of NAPNAP

PNP Student Intern 2023-24

Posted 4 months ago by Marijo Ratcliffe

The WA State NAPNAP Chapter now accepts applications for 2023-2024 student intern positions. We have  open intern positions, and we would love for you to consider joining our team. Interns work closely with board members on various projects and meeting/event planning. It's an excellent opportunity to engage with PNP leaders in the Seattle area while learning the processes involved with a  professional board. Another perk of being an intern is that the Chapter will pay your NAPNAP membership dues, and of course, it is a lot of fun!

The time commitment can be variable depending on the student's interest. Regardless, it includes quarterly board meetings, and as all meetings generate some tasks, the follow-up work is discussed and apportioned as appropriate. The Board member and the student work together on the required tasks. Other possible activities may include working with a Board member relative to:

  • Advocacy work with WA State Legislation
  • Surveys/data collection of chapter membership
  • CE planning for membership
  • Collaboration with other professionals, NP, and related organizations
  • Communication systems and chapter activities

To apply, please email Dani Kraft, Communications Chair (dani.h.kraft@gmail.com), and  WA Chapter President Marijo Ratcliffe (mapmr81@gmail.com). Please include/attach the following information:

  • your professional resume
  • a brief overview of why you are interested in the position.
  • Each year’s availability for a Board member to work with a PNP student changes, but if you have a preference, please indicate that in your email. Positions on the board include President, Secretary, CE Co-Chairs, Membership Chair, Communications Chair, Legislative Chair, and Treasurer.
