The Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (WCAAP), Seattle Childrens's, Public Health Seattle King County, and the Washington State Department of Health have joined forces on the Washington Child Health Improvement Partnership, funded by the Best Starts for Kids initiative and the DOH. Over a 9-month period clinics in each enrolled cohort identify opportunities to increase childhood and adolescent vaccinations, implement improvements, receive regular data and coaching, and benefit from participation in a community of clinics working toward the same goals.

Help your clinics implement meaningful, feasible and sustained focus on childhood and adolescent vaccines! Join the next cohort kicking off on April 27th. Through this clinic-wide intervention pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and family physicians of participating clinics can earn MOC credits as well as CME credits.

This work could not be more important now – vaccine administration for children and adolescents is down 20% month over month (less than pre-pandemic vaccine administrations.)

Attached is timeline for more detailed information about Cohort 4. While taking on something new is hard to imagine today – this intervention is essentially April through December 2022, when we expect things to be more “normal” in terms of patient needs and staffing. (Baseline chart reviews would need to occur by Mar 1.)
